Guess the NYT dumbos have not yet read NASA’s latest output concerning a possible global cooling due to ...wait....THE SUN.

Those of us who are STEM types have know about this for some time now, but then again, journalists - you know.

Japan Races to Build New Coal-Burning Power Plants, Despite the Climate Risks

So according to the NYTs it would be better for people to die of exposure and starve to death rather than face the mythical globull warming, right?

I have a solution:

Since the greenies over there want no nukes, and no coal plants (to save the environment, of course), chain all the environmentalists to bicycles for pedal power. Note that it may get a little harder to pedal during peak period. Load up on carbs before the morning rush.

There are no climate risks. Coal can be burned more cleanly than ever.

Coal is good! Wish we had built that plant a few years ago and that the Greenies didn’t stop it. Yucca Mountain was going to be a big fat cow the entire country could have used. They ruined that too.

They don’t care about other countries, but they want us to be thrown back into the stone age.

Atmospheric CO2 is tiny compared to many previous eras.

Image result for prehistoric co2"

During those times life exploded. Forests and jungles covered the planet, animals thrived, and even insects grew to the size of dogs and cats. Carbon is the basis of life, not a pollutant. Maybe a little too much has been locked underground.

"Together the 22 power plants would emit almost as much carbon dioxide annually as all the passenger cars sold each year in the United States. "

How is China doing with putting out their coal seam fires [a significant source of CO2 (and likely CO)]?

"They are monstrous, centuries-old infernos that issue thick billows of ash and smoke, and generate sinkholes that consume roads and homes without warning. Yet in spite of the dangers they pose, underground coal fires are some of the least known environmental disasters. China, the world’s largest miner and consumer of coal, has consistently downplayed the fires in its coalfields, considered the most severe on earth."

the japanese earthquake causing the nuclear plant disaster probably plays a major role in this decision...

Meanwhile, the idiots in Germany are shutting down some of the cleanest-burning coal plants yet designed. Maybe the Japanese can just buy all the equipment, disassemble it, and ship it home to be reassembled where needed.

Considering we’re going into a cooling period this will not affect us in terms of global warming, in the slightest.

***one of the dirtiest sources of electricity***

Electrostatic precipitators removes the fly ash. Other addons take care of other pollutants. So what is there to complain about?

It wasn’t really a Fukushima nuclear disaster that occurred, it was an Environmentalist Win.

The environmentalists won their court cases when the siting for the nuclear plant was established.

Scientists wanted the plant to be located on higher ground to avoid the possibility of a tsunami disaster.

The environmentalists won, so it got built on the level where tsunamis could take it out.

They got their way.

“Why coal, why now?” said Ms. Kanno

Because, Ms. Kanno, you and other Japanese Luddites demanded the country phase out nuclear energy after the Fukushima tsunami disaster. So, Japan has to rely on fossil fuels now.

Do liberals ever think things through?

CO2 is not a pollutant, despite what 7 dopes on the Supreme Court might say. CO2 is an airborne fertilizer.

The usual leftists are doing their usual fear-mongering.
