The CEO of a company behind the app that failed Monday night as it was being used to report results in the Iowa Democratic Caucuses says his team feels "terrible" for contributing to the chaos.
As officials in Iowa continued recording caucus results Wednesday morning, Shadow, Inc., CEO Gerard Niemira told Bloomberg News that he was "really disappointed" in the app's performance on Monday night.
Im really disappointed that some of our technology created an issue that made the caucus difficult, he said, adding: "We feel really terrible about that.
The app was sound and good, he continued. All the data that was produced by calculations performed by the app was correct. It did the job it was supposed to do, which is help precinct chairs in the field do the math correctly. The problem was caused by a bug in the code that transmits results data into the state partys data warehouse.
That led to "catastrophic" failure as party officials around the state were attempting to report caucus results late into the evening Monday night, Niemira added.

For me the app failure narratives and the more than 24 hr delay in reporting results doesn't add-up.
Let's say it's true the app didn't work properly. Even so, each precinct still had the counts they tried to report using the app.
Since each precinct already had their counts (the totals they tried to put into the app) they didn't need the app. All they had to do is call the numbers into the headquarter or physically take them there.
If they had correct numbers, the numbers they tried to send through the app, it shouldn't have taken more than 24 hrs to simply tally the results they already had.
Why should it take more than 24 hrs to tally the numbers they already had before they entered the numbers into the app?
Isn’t Shadows choice of name a bit obvious?
They probably didnt have the infrastructure to receive 1,600 phone calls in that amount of time. Retards with no Plan B at all.
“our technology”
Sounds like more than a bit of a stretch to call it technology.
Feelings..........
Nothing more than feelings.........
DUH. HILLIARY is the SHADOW President!!
The SNAFU with the Democratic part of the Iowa caucuses was a HUGE political black eye for the Democrats.
Dems never have accountability, no consequences, just screw up royally and move on.
Why did the DNC insist on an app to count such small numbers of voters...?
Apparently they deployed this app using TestFlight, which is a platform intended for beta testing, not for productive deployments. Indicates that it was never properly tested, never secured and never ready for productive use. Sounds incredibly amateurish.
Any election app that reports results to a central location and in the process ALTERS the real results is a huge thing. That is not just adding to the chaos. Where does the voter put their trust now? How can they be assured that their vote counts?
TRIAL RUN.
Highlights that this operation is a huge money-making scam.....
Using con artist tactics, they duped people into paying for useless apps.
They sold it using tech bafflegab. The money was rolling in----who needs results?
The problem was they didn’t build in an automatic Bernie Sanders Vote Reducer and Pete Buttigieg Vote Enhancer into the app. It had to be done manually and that takes a whole day.
All of this would have easily shown up in early testing.
This is a lie, told by a company paid to lie.
Remember the Obamacare website success. Another Democrat bomb.
They want to run the country? Get real.
Gosh, are our face’s red...!
This is all just like canceling the Iowa poll because one person claimed they weren’t including 1 candidate. It’s a total cover story. I’m sure they had trouble with the app which is going to happen in any similar situation. I’m also sure that has absolutely nothing to do with why they didn’t report any results for an entire day. They obviously could receive results directly over the phone and I even saw a stories on TV of people who took pictures of their results and texted them in with no problem. This was all about how bad Biden performed.
The Shadow executives have meddled in an election—and they should be indicted for election fraud.
You can always tell when Democrats are lying because their lips move.
