25,000 is the number of people who are sick in China, not the number of fatalities. Johns Hopkins data also shows that the number of confirmed recoveries is growing much faster than confirmed deaths. A couple of days ago the ratio was about one to one.
Since you did what appears to be a knee jerk reaction, the whole point of the site I linked, is that the Hopkins numbers are based on *lies* by the Chicoms; further, that the Chicoms have a more accurate set of numbers (those known by China to have been killed by Coronavirus 2019-nCoV); and also that many have died of this virus, whose deaths are either not recorded or are reported as due to other causes.
In other words, it is not rumor mongering based on an accidental resemblance of two figures, which both approximately equal 24k.
