Romney says he had to follow 'conscience' on vote to convict Trump, expects ‘enormous consequences’

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, told Fox News' Chris Wallace Wednesday in an exclusive interview that he "had to follow my conscience" in deciding to vote to convict President Trump on abuse of power, a decision that's likely to lead to serious blowback from Trump and others in the Republican Party.

"I believe that the act he took, an effort to corrupt an election is as destructive an attack on the oath of office and our Constitution as I can imagine," Romney said. "It is a high crime and misdemeanor within the meaning of the Constitution, and that is not a decision I take lightly. It is the last decision I want to take."

Relax and take comfort in the fact that John McCain is no longer around.

It’s on twitter. She’s a YES X2.

Manchin just said we will find out when he votes. He doesn’t plan to make a speech.

He followed the dictates of whoever it is who was in charge of passing out the stolen US Aid dollars to Ukraine, not his damned conscience.

Romney is a traitor to the GOP.

There will be consequences.

Well, everyone has to follow their conscience at least once.

Pretty poor start, Mitt.

That’s disappointing with regard to Synema. Manchin will probably weasel and vote for one article and vote against the other article.

Citing her concern for the Constitution as well as the conduct of future presidents, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema will vote Wednesday to convict President Donald Trump on the impeachment charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

There is a very good chance, Romney will now declare himself Democrat.

Romney is deeply religious!

Becoming Democrat is his only way to possibly be President of the United States, and to finally make himself the Mormon god of planet Earth that he believes is his deserved title!

It all fits well.

Romney (as MA Governor) spearheaded and fought for one of the first states to have “same sex marriage* (fully knowing it was homosexuals who were really behind mass abortion, meaning he has only paid lip service for the pro-life vote), rammed through socialized medicine before any other state, and more recently has been heavily involved with DNC/Russian/Ukrainian corruption related efforts to frame and “COUP OUT” an innocent President Trump!

Because of Iowa, it has now been revealed the three prominent and secret individuals involved were HRC, Perv-Budda, and Mitt Romney.

Over the years, Mitt Romney has also been involved with the highly corrupt Clinton Foundation.

If and when he switches parties, likely almost immediately if he makes this choice, he can legitimately run on the most socially and economically left wing positions of any far left wing Democrat, and actually has the record to prove it.

The Romney family is also worth billions, and they have controlled Marriott for many years.

Speak of building hotels in Moscow... Sheesh!

The Romney is also highly popular around the world,

If and when he does this, he will pick a Perv-Budda, or HRC, or left wing religious type candidate to run with him, and the Democratic Party will see him as their *savior*.

Then the mass media and press, and “Bush league never Trumpers” will absolutely solidify behind their new *savior god*!

Romney is deeply narcissistic, but almost no one sees it, and he will be portrayed as one of the the most benevolent and peace loving world Lea of all time. At least for now.

Romney wants deeply to be worshipped by all of man, period.

So will he pull the trigger?

All Mormon men think of themselves in terms of a Godhood.

They believe they will one day become God of their own celestial planet.

Mormon women believe they will populate the planet by having multitudes of spirit babies. Of course, a man-God would need a whole lot of wives to produce enough spirit babies.

These people are far, far from Christian.

I think Mitt, like McCain, can’t stand it when they’re not in the national spotlight. Couple this with Mitt’s jealousy of the president, and anger at being told choked like a dog, and it’s a very deep-seeded case of TDS. For the likes of McCain (also jealous, and for the same reason as Mitt) ANY attention, positive or negative, is better than no attention. Just like children.

It’s no coincidence that the two Republican losers for president are hateful and spiteful toward the Republican winner.
