I watched the speech.

I think he is convinced of it.

One thing a religious path should teach one is to not mistake one's own thinking chatter for the still quiet voice of God. When one does this, and has a high opinion of one's thinking, that is, mistakes it for God's voice, this is what leads to people legitimately mistaking themselves for prophets or chosen ones.

At least con artists know who they are, and may even know who God is. You - you confuse the two. Mitt, I'm afraid, is not aware that while he may be sincerely following A voice, it is his own original sin masquerading as God. Mistaking one's own voice for God is a fundamental problem with Humans. Mitt has always had this problem - it explains his smug self regard.

This is very sad when a man thinks so highly of himself that he mistakes himself for something resembling God.

And so he very proudly and arrogantly, though he may not know it is pride and arrogance, sees himself as a humble follower of God bearing the difficult burden of being such a faithful son. It is a corollary affliction to playing to the victim game ... a mix of that and martyrdom.

It does humanity no good. Go away Mitt - until you realize it is you that you are worshipping, go mend shoes or paint houses - there you may praise yourself for your great honest works without hurting anyone - stop infecting the country with your delusion.

A con man at least knows what he is, and he may even know who God is. With Mitt, the twain are conflated, and so he knows neither.

All Mormon men think of themselves in terms of a Godhood.

They believe they will one day become God of their own celestial planet.

Mormon women believe they will populate the planet by having multitudes of spirit babies. Of course, a man-God would need a whole lot of wives to produce enough spirit babies.

These people are far, far from Christian.
