On Wednesday evening, Republican congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida announced that he is filing an ethics complaint against Nancy Pelosi for her disgraceful stunt after President Trump finished his State of the Union address.
“I’m filing an ethics complaint against @SpeakerPelosi for destroying @realDonaldTrump’s State of the Union speech,” he wrote on Twitter.
According to Gaetz, Nancy's behavior was a potential violation of 18 USC 2071.
§2071. Concealment, removal, or mutilation generally
(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office .

To use the House Impeachment Prosecutor’s logic, let Pelosi call witnesses to show that she never ripped up a copy of the speech.

Gaetz should be ashamed of himself. He is, once again, violating his oath to the Constitution. If he is so concerned about her violating 18 USC 2017, then he shouldn’t be filing an ethics complaint, and he shouldn’t be trying to censure her. If she broke the law, the ONLY proper response is to arrest and charge her. Period. End of discussion. Anything less is a violation of their oaths. Screw the bastard GOP. They are scum. Every last one of them.

The Pelosi press conference is a joke...Ms. Pelosi is not sound in either body or mind!!! Personally, I would not allow this incompetent human being to take out out garbage!!! Trumpie will slaughter her with his words in minutes when he has his say!! Pelosi is toast, burnt toast, wasted spoiled toast...and to boot she in mentally unbalanced!!! According to the law, it is a fine or imprisonment or both AND removal from office. I would settle for bypassing the fine or jail and just have her removed from office.
