Other videos posted surreptitiously have shown major cities like Shanghai to be ghost towns. Virtually no cars or bikes on the street, very few people out, shops closed. Fire department too, apparently.

Unintended consequences aka “collateral damage” from developing a bioweapon that targets Asiastic people.

The Chicoms are going to have to postpone that invasion of Japan for a couple more decades.

It’s not surreptitious anymore. BBC posted the video you are talking about. It was a BBC reporter in China filming his trip to work. Streets were empty.

At a certain point in a severe pandemic, even the critical systems will break down when a)enough people are sick, b) enough people are at home taking care of sick family, or c) afraid of getting sick.

Fire, police, electrical, water, sewer, groceries, etc.

Hopefully the fire department got there soon - but it looks like the fire had been burning for awhile.
