If you like to read, read Don Jr.’s book “Triggered”. It’s excellent.

Aggressive by what standards? He doesn’t like pulling punches and tells it like it is - he is his father’s son. What’s wrong with that? It’s an excellent book..Media baggage? What would you expect from them? That’s nuts!

“Pursuing one’s aims and interests forcefully”
Synonyms include for that - assertive, forceful, competitive, insistent
Any time you write negative comments about someone it is considered aggressive, truth or not.
In chapter 1, second paragraph he takes a shot at the current candidates. He also said about the investigation that: “and taking nearly two years to do an investigation that anyone with half a brain could have done in five minutes.”
I would say that was relatively aggressive questioning their intelligence.
Read the book. The title is TRIGGERED - HOW THE LEFT THRIVES ON HATE AND WANTS TO SILENCE US. I have it in my left hand as we speak and have read it. He cut them a new one but it was not done through a soft, kind, diplomacy. He shot them in the keyster. And that’s aggressive.
In chapter 2 he references the spending of $40 million dollars by 15 of the most prejudiced lawyers they could find in D.C., some of whom worked for Clinton.
I haven’t even got to chapter 3 and he’s already bad mouthed around 45 people. Even the dedication page is aggressive as it reads:
“I dedicate this book to the DEPLORBLES. While the elite of the other party look down on you and would rather you stay silent, I salute your work ethic, patriotism, and values. American wouldn’t be great without your blood, sweat and tears. I will always stand with you! I am proudly one of you.”
Is it the truth? I feel it is. But it is also an aggressive determination in it’s downgrading description of the liberal/socialist party. You can be sure it is.
In realizing that the book is made an effort to insult the liberals, and it was, then it is not only done aggressively but opens up DT Jr. and possibly the rest of the family, for open insults from the left. As long as the family stayed quiet, the media should have left them along. But Jr. fired the first shot outside of the investigations and per personal opinion. One the left will not allow to be made public without trying to ruin him and the rest of the family if they can. It’s all they have for 2020. If they can’t disprove the message, dirty the messenger. They’ve been doing it since FDR.

I read the book - I wouldn’t have commented if I hadn’t and I had recommended it a few posts before I wrote my reply to you. I hope you feel better writing yours - it really wasn’t necessary. You must have a lot of time to waste if you do that with every book you read. Counting the number of people Don Jr., has “bad mouthed??” in 3 chapters. Is he not allowed to bad mouth anyone he chooses? Is “I’m offended” now the norm?
All authors voice their opinions and make judgments...Am reading Judge Jeanine’s latest book at this time and boy, she sure gets aggressive. Have Greg Jarrett’s next on the table and I bet he gets aggressive also. Also have Peter Schweitzer’s “Extortion” on the table - bought it for $5.00 online. I’ll have to wait for his newest one but he’s pretty aggressive also.
You sure put a lot of confidence in the left behaving like rational human beings. Ain’t likely to happen in our lifetime. “As long as the family stayed quiet, the media should have left them alone.” Just the plain fact the family exists is reason enough for them to NOT LEAVE THEM ALONE. In spite of who does or does not write about what we’re seeing, they have one goal and one only.
In spite of all the words you posted, I still don’t get your drift or understand your complaint about Don Jr.’s aggressive writing. Consider it’s his dad’s aggression that has brought us along as far as we’ve come since 2017...

I have no idea where you got that. I said that Jr. left a lot of ammunition for them to use. The patience of the law and the process just destroyed the attack the libs put up with this impeachment debacle that had nothing to do with reality and a lot to do with trashing an opponent. When you get into a name calling competition with an opponent, you bring yourself down to their level of competition and no longer hold the high ground.
An example of this is the first thing Trump did after taking the reins was to throw the media off AF 1. He didn’t argue with them, he just ended their opportunity to find ways to attack him in a way that sent a message they couldn’t do anything about. He didn’t squabble with them, he established his position and sent the message that he was in charge and he wouldn’t put up with them and there would be no recourse. He doesn’t try to trade insults with them in the media.
He allowed this impeachment to draw out the libs and make themselves the fools. And he didn’t comment on their capacity until after it was obvious they were doing, possibly, illegal actions. But he never questioned their mental capacity, just their honesty and integrity, of which libs don’t have any but it was displayed by the fools right out in the open. This is how winning is done.....professionally and inspiringly of the voters. Trump has cut them off everywhere they have gone. He didn’t call them anything personal, just professional. This is why he is loved. He fights fair and wins because of it. And that, along with the fact that the voters were hiring a businessman rather than a politician, is why I voted for him and will again this year.
Jr. opened a dialog with the left, and the media it holds, by trying to compete with them at insults. But because of the opposition, and that he is outnumbered, he walked into the battle with a pocket knife. That book can be used by the liberal media in papers all over the world to trash him and his father because of it. And it can effect the whole family. Jr is playing politics, not doing a job. He should remember his position as family and not play in an arena he can’t do anything but damage in. He’s out run and out gunned. Leave the game to the professionals like his father. The stump is a part of his job, let him do it. He’s winning his way.

All of your points I accept except that everyone on the left and the media would have left the family alone. That’s what I meant about the left somehow turning into rational human beings if only Don Jr., hadn’t taken them on. That was never going to happen. It was never in the cards.
Another exception is that the president doesn’t get personal

He’s used personal attacks since the beginning of his presidency and lately just a week ago at the National Prayer Breakfast and at the WH when he held up the newspaper with the acquittal headline - the list of names he’s called people is endless and no one could possibly remember them all. Would you consider “sleeze bag” to be personal? But it doesn’t matter - and I hope he and his sons continue to do it as the left has earned it. I just don’t buy that Don Jr., or the president or any other member of the family has brought the criticism or ridicule on themselves.

I didn’t say they would, and don’t expect them too. I said Jr. provided them with ammunition to shoot at the president and the family with. To my knowledge, the left polarizes and attacks anyone they can. If he keeps his comments about their mental capacity to himself, they have nothing to say about it. He((, we all feel that the libs are like crazed dogs for an injured animal anyway to include themselves. But what can they say about silence and let the old man use the system to eat them instead? It worked for the impeachment, and he has gotten everything he’s gone after by just letting them cut their own throats and sitting back watching (with a little prodding).
I too enjoyed the discussion a lot, thank you for comparing ideas.
