Aunt Bea’s famous hash hush puppies.

Not famous to me. I've never heard of these. What season and episode?

You didn’t see that one?

Well, it wasn’t on purpose.

Opie bought some weed from these beatniks on the road from NYC. Their car broke down and Goober was ham-fistedly trying to fix it.

Opie didn’t know what weed was, but the beatniks told him it would make him fly, and he always dreamed about piloting and such. So he bought it.

Meanwhile, Floyd the barber gave all the beatniks hair cuts. The jokes wrote themselves, as Floyd yammered away and the beatniks replied by finger snapping and using weird words nobody in Mayberry ever heard. The same beatniks would be on later in an episode on Mayberry RFD (with Ken Berry) as hippies.

After that, Opie had to hide his weed SOMEWHERE, so he hid it in Aunt Bea’s corn meal, but when she was making those hushpuppies, she used all of the weed Opie hid.

Well, Barney ate a plate of those hushpuppies and tried to join the beatniks! Hilarity ensued as Sheriff Taylor tried to talk Barney down and back into being a deputy.
