This is a revolt?

If Kelly had worked for Zero and then done something like this CNN would be accusing Kelly of insubordination...

“Revolt of the generals faces Trump.”

He mentioned three retired generals, out of how many, and you quickly accept the fictitious premise of this idiot?

You can find more generals than that on Fox supporting Trump.

I talked to some relatives of currently serving military personnel when Obama was president. Now there was real opposition.

The modern illustration of that was the war in Iraq. It went badly or not-so-goodly until the political Clinton commanders werreplaced by the new officers coming up through the the ranks in combat. Then the “surge” happened which, in itself, was not decisive. It came as the politicals were phased out and the combatants had taken charge.

Billy Mitchell, father of our modern aircraft carrier doctrine, was court martialed and nearly drummed out of the navy under FDR for insisting that the U.S. Navy had to put more resources into aircraft carriers and fewer into battleships.

Then one day, Pearl Harbor was attacked and suddenly Billy Mitchell was a genius.

“....drummed out of the navy ....”

Mitchel was in the Army - Army Air Service to be exact.

They’re not generals. They dress up like generals; but they’re dog-faced bureaucrats, stick-horse pony soldiers.

Our military is full of LGBT and any female Rangers and Spec OPS are a damn joke. Show me a female who can lead an Infantry platoon in the Marines or Army? Clinton’s COED BCT started the trashing of our military. Next, they lowered physical standards/ physical tests for sex. How do we take teens who grew up playing video games these days vs the ones who were physically active in the 50-60’s and make real soldiers/marines out of these punks today?

Yes, you are right. There was, of course, no air force back then and the navy brass resented him suggesting what they should do.

The army brass was almost equally resentful of his going outside his branch of service.

Of course, it was Mitchell who planned the April 1942 raid on Tokyo using army bombers to fly off navy carriers. The raid accomplished little damage but it did spook the Japanese into attacking Midway before they were prepared to do so with disastrous results which effectively lost the war for them, though it would take another three years and five months.

Less than 30% of the U.S. military resources were devoted to the War in the Pacific.

This is why the founders of this country had no interest in establishing a large standing army.

Anyone who is a career military officer should never be trusted to uphold the ideals of a free nation.

Correction: Mitchell was merely the inspiration for the April 1942 raid on Tokyo

He was, of course, deceased by that time and the raid was led by Lt. Col. James Doolittle. My bad.
