These are the same admirals and generals that allowed Benghazi to occur. They allowed the Iranians to capture two American navy patrol boats and humiliate the crews. The are for allowing the pointless military actions in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan to go on for ever. But someone might have heard something the president said on the phone although the transcript of the phone call proves otherwise.

It's like the peacetime generals and admirals who ran everything until Roosevelt let Marshall and Leahy sort it out and promote war fighters. Lincoln faced the same problem.
Perfumed princes, all of them.

Don’t forget that Generals are right up at the front of the line to collect the skim from Foreign Aid and Conflict

I was always taught that you funneled things up the chain of command especially if all we had was second hand knowledge. I’m sure General Kelly wouldn’t have liked the idea of any of his subordinate commanders getting on nightly news to question his actioins.

Does the political brass realize that Trump is the CIC? No. So Trump is going to have to make them understand.

Okay. Let me guess this straight. We need a “report” in The Atlantic to confirm that retired Marine Gen. John Kelly said at an event at Drew University on Wednesday that Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman did the right thing when he raised concerns about President Donald Trump’s call to the Ukrainian president in late July?

It’s pretty funny that CNN is now in the business of promoting coups, now that a Republican is president.

That a General is this ignorant of how the Chain of Command and the UCMJ works is shocking.
Switch Kelly and Trump and Kelly would of had Vindiman gone out of the Army for his gross violation of basic military rules of discipline.
But I guess rules are optional when you are more politician then General.

The Obama Years just keep on giving.
Meanwhile, where did the Vindman twins even come from? Born in Ukraine. Big coincidence.

These are the same admirals and generals that allowed Benghazi to occur. Precisely. 0bama purged the military of any flag officers who wouldn't willing do his bidding - including two who tried to send aid to Benghazi.

There is nothing worse than officers who climbed the politically correct, peacetime branches to achieve senior rank. Usually they are incompetent and historically when real war comes, nations suffer setbacks until they are replaced with competent warriors. The Joint Chiefs of Staff is just another woke Federal bureaucracy.
Trump is in awe of the military and has not exercised his power. Remember when he issued an order to ban transgenders from the military. He was openly opposed and defied by a Coast Guard Admiral. That Admiral incredibly was not disciplined or relieved of his command.
