As primary voters continue to go to the polls, voters may have to consider how close the apple has fallen from the tree when it comes to Pete Buttigieg and his father Joesph who was born in Malta and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1979. He died in January 2019.
Pete wrote at the time: "We miss him already but his love of life, and his moral passion, will stay with us forever...We are left with memories of his powerful intellect, his extensive legacy, his personal warmth and his deeply felt love for Mom, me, and all those close to him." So what was this "moral passion" of Pete's father?
It was a passion for Marxism and more specifically the philosophy of Antonio Gramsci.

Pete Buttigieg’s Father Was a Hardcore Marxist
Apparently his “Powerful intellect” could co-exist with the mindset of a hardcore Marxist. On the other hand it is not unusual that many otherwise fairly bright and intelligent people fall for different variations of socialism, many professors of higher learning institutions are a good example. Never giving it much thought that in the long run it never works out very well. Of course this doesn’t mean that a mix of conservatism and capitalism always comes up with the perfect answers either. Yet, it still is the lesser of the two evils, especially if compassion for our fellow man is mixed in with it. No doubt that it is an age old conundrum and probably may never be solved.
“Elites” do very well under Marxism... the laws that apply to the little people don’t apply to them. AND as a bonus - people are afraid of them because they murder people they don’t like. Mayor Pete’s father was an ‘elite’... communism would work just fine for him.

For a while, perhaps. But once the 'elites' like Petey's Dad construct their Worker's Paradise, some thug like Stalin or Hillary Clinton comes along and ruins the party for them. Guys like Petey's father end up in the Gulag, or on the floor of Lubyanka with their brain matter flowing down the floor drains.

I suspect there's a human yearning for a return to a time when Mom and Dad were 'fair' to us and loved us... or 'should have'... That's the appeal of communism - and why it keeps raising it's ugly head - it plays on the dreams of our childhood.
I wounder how he did that, I believe at the time being an open communist would make him excusable alien.
