They would be fine with Sessions probably.

Jones was never going serve more than one term. Bama will elect Tommy Tuberville, the non-politician.

Jones was never going to win anyway; but nice numbers anyway.

If you think Romney and Mercowski suck, wait until Sessions gets in

It’s obvious from my FR handle that I’m a devoted Bama fan. And, like all true Bama fans, I despise Auburn with every fiber of my being. I despised Tuberville when he was Auburn’s coach.

That being said, I will vote for anyone but Jones. I’m leaning towards Byrne but, if Tuberville is the GOP nominee, I will vote for him without hesitation.

In Alabama, College Football is a way of life and almost like a religion. I can’t speak for all Bama fans but I believe that most Bama fans would put aside our personal disdain for Tuberville and Auburn in order to defeat Jones.

Doug “Hollywood” Jones must go. I will be voting for the GOP nominee, no matter what.

I live in Alabama.

I am very much aware of the political climate here.

I have said this before, I now say it again:

That needle-nosed ignorant dumb ass piece of democratic offal will NOT be re-elected.

You can take that to the bank.

It will end up between Tommy Tuberville, Bradley Byrne and Sessions...with Sessions bringing up the rear.

Sessions is perceived as weak and is no longer perceived as a Trump ally, and that is a bad thing in a state that gives Trump and the GOP a 97% approval rating.

Byrne has political experience from his days as a Representative, but Tuberville has recognition from his days as the Auburn head coach.

As far as Moore...he has no appeal these days, other than from some of the hard shell, Sunday morning Baptists and Methodists and a few of the folks from his home town of Gadsden.

He won't be a factor.

I predict Tuberville in a very, very close race...perhaps close enough for a runoff.

We shall see...but it ain't gonna be Jones...period.

He is toast and damned good riddance to him.

Here is the “money” section from the source article:

“Each of the top three candidates matched up well in a hypothetical general election with incumbent Democratic Sen. Doug Jones. Among the general electorate sample, the poll shows Sessions winning 54% to Jones’ 41%, Tuberville winning 50% to Jones’ 42% and Byrne winning 51% to Jones’ 42%.

Another troublesome sign for Jones is his relative unpopularity among voters, according to the survey. Among the general electorate sample, just 32% of voters viewed Jones favorably while 47% viewed him unfavorably, 16% had a neutral opinion and 5% didn’t recognize his name.”

As long as Jones, the clueless DIMocRAT LEFTIST, loses, I could care less which GOP candidate defeats him.

His long history of vanity politics and doing things like not campaigning also helped lead to his defeat - including the weekend before the election going out of state to attend a ball game.

Jeff Sessions was a very good senator before he took the AG job. He is probably the most honest man in DC, which is just about the worst trait to have in today’s toxic DOJ. Yes, he failed as AG but he can be a very good senator again.

Tuberville is reportedly soft on illegals. Don’t need him in there. Bradley Byrne would be fine, though he was late to support the President at the beginning - he went off message over the stupid talk show tape, then got his mind right. Byrne has to feel somewhat betrayed - he said all along he would not give up his house seat if Sessions was going to run, but Sessions delayed his decision until it was too late for Byrne to back out.

Of the 3, Sessions is the best bet to fully support President Trump. Any of them, of course, would be better than any rat.

“No fan of Sessions but the far left Doug Jones has to go.”

I agree. Jones is the main target and he needs to go. If Sessions is the man to do it, so be it.

As an Alabamian I see all three as basically interchangeable but my favorite is Sessions despite his blowing it as AG. Anyone with an R is going to win this time around. The special election that installed Jones inoculated the state against a repeat of that disaster. No one is going to sit this one out.

Manchin reportedly has four more years to service his term. He’s a back stabbing SOB. Trump helped revive the coal industry and give his people work, something Hillary, Obama, Michele, Warren, Sanders, Petereater, etc. said they would NOT DO.

I thought he was a little more honorable than the rest of the Democratic scum but I was wrong.

Collins - toast the backstabbing bitch. Run someone with a backbone and no “turncoat” mentality. Destroy her like the traitor that she is.

I warned FReepers years ago that Krysta Sinema was a communist and she proved it during the impeachment vote. Played the Republicans like a fiddle and then betrayed them, but in her world “betrayal” is just a Marxist tactic to be used against all real or perceived enemies, such as freedom-loving patriots.

Lessons Learned: Today’s Democrats can NEVER BE TRUSTED to do anything good for America. It’s all about gaining complete control over the life of every American. If you have “shades” of Hitler’s Germany and Lenin/Stalin/Mao/Ho/Kim/Castro’s Marxist totalitarian state in your mind, you are right.

Now get out and organize against these traitors. I am.

Sessions lacked the backbone to be a strong Attorney General. Should never have taken the position if he couldn’t “fight the real fight and win”.

#67. Can you find out if Jones is getting any money from Soros, Steyer and/or Bloomturd? Such a finding should finish him as the Democrat candidate.

Getting money from a Nazi-helping KAPO, a psychopathic businessman and a richer egotistical prick businessman with a savior complex (i.e. “The 32 oz drink czar”), should seal his doom.

Please document any such donations. We need verifiable facts in order to take this POS down.

Jones did sound like a suicide letter when he made his “Why I’m gonna vote to convict” speech...wonder what the Dems promised/threatened to keep him in line.

Yes. Just one of Trump’s terrible cabinet and other appointments. Trump may need to contract out his appointments to The Federalist Society, who have done an excellent job of supplying him with great judicial nominees.

Thank you Doug Jones for your service and proving that there is no such thing as a moderate democrat.
