There’s something more going on here. Republicans are mad at sessions for how he handled his job as AG yet he’s very confident about running. Trump I believe has stopped criticizing sessions. Curious.

I assume they meant that Sessions is narrowly leading the other republicans, because in the republican primary race, he is at 31%, and the other guys are at 29% and 27%.
