Really good stuff and a piece that needed to be written.I don't know every detail of the trial or the charges but if he was convicted of lying than it's likely it was a setup. It's what they tried on Trump and everyone else its known as a perjury trap. Goes like this:

Interview someone in Jan. ask him a bunch of loaded questions, re-interview him six months later basically asking the same questions and if he makes any mistakes he guilty of perjury. It's little more than a perjury trap and only lawyers who are totally incompetent or totally corrupt use it.
