California's governor signed a bill last week that allows state residents to switch their party affiliation on election day, a change expected to increase primary election participation.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed the bill Thursday, allowing voters to fill out a short form at any point in the last two weeks before an election including the day itself declaring their party affiliation.
The bill ensures that a resident may vote in their intended party's primary even if they miss the official registration deadline, presuming that their application is accepted by county officials.
California's embrace of conditional voter registration for the general election in 2018 led to historic midterm turnout in the state during an election that saw the number of GOP House members in the state's 53-member congressional delegation fall to single digits.

Thx for info. Reregistering this week to do same. Anything to have a chance to have some fun in the primary
Apparently you can make the request at the polling station if you vote in person. My district went vote-by-mail only a few years ago, so we had to declare in January.
On the whole vote-by-mail deal, I really don’t like it. However, I walk by the county registrar’s office on my way to work, so I put my ballot in their drop box on the way by. Not saying I don’t trust the U.S. Putz Office to deliver mail timely and correctly. Well, I guess I am saying that!
Voting is meaningless in California now. Pure vote fraud. And the democrats have expanded massive vote fraud to other states now as well.
Election day? We can vote for 2 weeks here.
At some point the Feds have to act on Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution. It’s gone that far.
As have I since 1968, only did 4 but the war ended and it got boring.
Just great! Now they can “harvest” unused ballots from any party they want!
What difference does it make in the general election. Both names will be on the ballot so this is not needed. The libs are so caught up in party warfare they are actually creating nothing more here than an advertising tool. And with their history of counting votes that can’t possibly exist, how many of those “FORMS” are going to “surface” after the fact when the votes didn’t reflect party? Scam!!!

California moves to allow voters to switch party registration on election day.
Translation: Names of illegals will be used registered to vote even if they don’t know it,they do not have elections here only pretend ones.
Agreed...
When serving out of the country were your ballots ever late making it impossible for your vote to get mailed back in time?
In the Clinton administration we read reports that they were nailing the overseas ballots to troops so late they could not get back in time and therefore would not be counted.
