“nd Jonah Goldberg, who was run out of National Review by its readers, and Steve Hayes, who ran The Weekly Standard on its road to ruin, are dubbed the bold new leaders of serious conservatives.”

Two insufferable idiots, neither of whom have accomplished anything significant in their lives.

"In what industry would this hubris survive except for media? "

Same old, same old. Why does this author, and others like him, continue to treat media as a competitive business model? It obviously isn't, which is why he asks the very question above.

By simply flipping the narrative around, and viewing western media as a loss leading, budgetary expense for globalist strategic objectives - like any national defense budget - then it all makes perfect sense.

Life is short, and can be pretty boring and unfulfilling if one is financially comfortable, especially from birth. What exactly is one to do all day long?

Any ambitious leader, bored of life and interested in playing with people's lives, is attracted to movements that can deliver a control high. Globalism is today's current ticket; 90 years ago it was two major isms: communism & facism.

Media and finance are the globalists two chief assets. Destroy one or the other, and people can be free. Trump showed the way; Brexit - for anyone watching - is probably an even bigger tell. 2020 could be the turn around year - the people's Midway - when the end was clearly in sight, even though years of fighting were still in the program.

Those people deserve whatever “cruelty” is coming their way.

where people can be incorrect again and again to the point of irrelevance yet still maintain columns, airtime, and glowing profiles about their bravery in the face of wrong.

The story of Avanetti is a perfect example of this. Many leftist media people even proposed him as a possible presidential candidate Where are the mea culpas?

Can anyone identify the man on the far left in the photo? I can identify the others, Jonah Goldberg, Chris Hayes, Mitt Romney, and Steve Hayes.
