Agincourt, the Battle of Britain, and Valley Forge.

Monumentally wrong historical analogy. Both sides in those battles shared common values and adhered to the same natural principles. Not so in this case.

Not quite shared values. The one value that was in dispute is the most important value of all and the reason people were willing to die for it. The other common values matter not a wit.

Will we live as a free people or will submit ourselves to being ruled by men. Lex Rex and not Rex Lex.

Tom Foley would be a better example. RAT rule of the House got tossed thanks to the Contract With America. Tom Foley, the Speaker of the House at the time, also lost his own election as well.
