On Friday, news broke that the DOJ has appointed an outside prosecutor to review the case of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. Soon afterward, Andrew Weissman, a former Department of Justice official and a leader on the 2017 Robert Mueller special counsel team, claimed that the new probe is actually the start of an investigation that is going to be of Comey, Mccabe, Pete Strzok.”
The Washington Examiner reported: “Andrew Weissmann, a former Justice Department official who was known as Mueller’s ‘pit bull’ during the Russia investigation, said the Justice Department swapped out the ‘loser case’ of Andrew McCabe, who escaped criminal charges on Friday for allegedly lying to investigators about authorizing media disclosures, for a fresh one targeting top former FBI officials, including McCabe, led by Jeffrey Jensen, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri.”

“The judge said there’s no issue here,” said Weissmann. “And so, the thing that’s really interesting today is, I am quite cynical, because there was no way Andy McCabe–there was going to be a successful prosecution.”

My prediction: Weissman just made this up. I wouldn’t trust anything he says. It will be self serving and designed to hurt Trump and Barr.
We simply have to have something to “wait for” after Durham punks out.
I’ll believe it when I see indictments.
No one at the FBI or DOJ will be prosecuted, treason would destory both agencies.

If it does turn out to be another investigation, there really is no purpose if the goal is not to prosecute.
