I would not go so far as to say I would “never” vote for a homosexual, but the likelihood is very low. That would NOT be because I hate gays or wish them bad. It is because it is pretty much a certainty that their world view is far different from mine. I think that is legitimate and acceptable reasoning.

A former student declared he was gay. He had always shown interest in girls, but finally declared that women just had too many issues for him to deal with, so he decided he liked men. Life has not been happy for him. He “married” a guy, who is now taking half of what he worked for in the divorce.

In talking over his situation with a colleague who keeps in touch with him, we both ended up saying the same thing: If you are gay, your whole life revolves around you’re gayness. It is the central point in your life. It’s the first thing you want people to know about you, it is your first consideration when it comes to friends, religion, politics—it’s an obsession.

And that is how their world view is different from normal people.
