Good question - who tells Bloomberg that he’s out of the race? He does. Uh, oh.

In 1948, the Democrat Party split into the Progressive and States’ Rights’ parties, because Truman had alienated them both. Against the odds, he won a landslide victory just by going out and talking to people in cities and towns along the rail lines. He developed a bond, and attracted bigger and bigger crowds. On election day, he beat the Republicans, Progressive and States’ Rights parties in a landslide.

That was because the “moderate” wing really was moderate by the standards of that time, and was substantial and because Truman himself was surprisingly talented as a speaker. Whatever now passes for “moderate” among the Dems is worn down and aging. The only speaker who can do what Truman did back in the day is Trump, and he’s ours!

I'll concede that Trump appears to have strayed from conservative orthodoxy on trade, but even there he's more of a horse trader than a protectionist.

David you lost me. Stop reading right there. Protectionism was and still is THE Conservative position. The tariff was the main plank of th GOP Party platform until the globalists took it after WWII in support of Bretton-Woods.

David, Pres. Reagan was a PROTECTIONIST! The last GOP protectionist until Trump came along.

David, if you want to talk about truth in advertising the reality is both you and your brother are Libertarians and not Conservatives.

The Democrats' predicament is that they have championed hate, evil, and untruth and they are on the wrong side of history.

The Democrat Party has championed every evil from slavery and the ku klux klan to illegal immigration, voter fraud, infanticide, coup d'état, and unconstitutional "impeachment," and their only platform (other than the crass grasp of power) is hate--hate for President Trump, especially, but hate and anger in general!

That is their predicament.

While a majority of Democrats now have a favorable view of socialism (just think about that for a second), a majority of Americans do not, though the gap is shrinking thanks to liberal academia, Hollywood and Democratic propaganda.

And it will continue to shrink. And in around a decade the numbers will flip and we'll have a socialist majority. Hell even Trump is out there at rallies pitching paid family leave. All momentum is in that direction.
