Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) fired back at former Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein after he said he may vote for President Trump if Sanders is the Democrats’ presidential nominee.
“I welcome the hatred of the crooks who destroyed our economy,” Sanders tweeted Friday.
The retort came in response to Blankfein saying he would have trouble supporting Sanders in November.
“I think I might find it harder to vote for Bernie than for Trump,” Blankfein told the Financial Times in an interview published Friday. “The Democrats would be working very hard to find someone who is as divisive as Trump. But with Bernie, they would have succeeded.”
“I don’t like assassination by categorization. I think it’s un-American. I find that destructive and intemperate,” he added in reference to Sanders’s rebukes of billionaires. “I find that just as subversive of the American character as someone like Trump who denigrates groups of people who he has never met. At least Trump cares about the economy.”
Sanders has cast his campaign as part of a “political revolution” that will rectify income and other financial inequities in part by raising taxes on millionaires and billionaires. Blankfein is estimated to be worth at least $1 billion.

What is Bernie talking about?? The strongest economy in the world, probably the best in the history of the nation. And he says POTUS destroyed the American economy. Was he enjoying a “senior minute” when making the statement?

This Democrat stuff is SO entertaining - while the tranquil state of our own entrenchments is very soothing.
That’s an instant disqualifier for the Presidency in my book.

Bernie has wasted an entire life pushing socialism and communism. He has done all this while never really holding a real job.
Trump would have a field day running against Bernie. Unfortunately I don’t see that happening.

I do like the idea of Bernie tieing the never-Trumper’s hands, though.
It’s hard to believe that they’d punish the candidate who hates their anti-American investments by voting for the one who wants to confiscate everything they have.
It could be fun to watch Mitt Romney’s head melt down at the dilemma.
He IS a communist, and everyone except us, is tiptoeing around the term. I suggest all Freepers refer to Bolshevik- Bernie as a COMMUNIST.

Corporate globalist CEOs have indeed harmed the economy for average Americans - their critiques are great free advertising for Bernie. For the good of the nation (not that they ever cared) and their own interests, they need to STFU about Bernie.

Majority of billionaires support dems because it is a little harder to bribe true conservatives in the govt. But the dems are very cheap to buy.
I’ll bet $1,000, Alex, that Bernie turned “RED” at Blankfein’s comments. The Karma Chameleon is exposed. He has no proletarian clothes.
He hates the rich but has three homes. His wife is a crook but her missteps he brooks.
