Wrongful death claims are tiny compared with a live victim. Many states even limit wrongful death and typically all proceeds have to be split among heirs at law and limit attorney fees. Hence, a bum with not income loss might be workth $75000 in Ohio. A broken arm three times that. Loss of an eye 10 times death claim.

Just sayin it makes good money sense to make sure they are DOA.
