Daredevil and Flat Earth theorist Michael "Mad Mike" Hughes died Saturday in a rocket crash. Hughes, 64, wanted to prove the Flat Earth theory by taking photographs of the Earth from a homemade rocket.
Saturday's rocket launch was to be featured on the Science Channel, which was chronicling Hughes' attempts to launch himself high enough in a homemade rocket to take pictures of the curvature — or lack thereof as far as Hughes was concerned — of the Earth. This particular launch was only supposed to take Hughes 5,000 feet in the air, according to Discovery.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mike Hughes' family and friends during this difficult time. It was always his dream to do this launch, and Science Channel was there to chronicle his journey," Science Channel said in a statement.
Although police did not positively identify Hughes, San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Public Information Officer Cindy Bachman said Saturday in a statement, "A man was pronounced deceased after the rocket crashed in the open desert during a rocket launch event. Medical aid was staged for the launch and was on scene immediately."
Hughes had previously completed a successful launch in March 2018, which sent him 1,800 feet in the air.
"The Flat Earth thing is like everything else to me," Hughes told CBS News in October 2018. "I just want people to question everything. Question what your congressman is doing, your city council. Question what really happened during the Civil War. What happened during 9/11."
At the time, Hughes stated that he built his homemade rocket mostly through, "trial and error," and admitted, "You don't get a lot of second chances, though, in the rocket business."

Raise a few bucks on GoFundMe, get him a GoPro, a rubber Zodiac, some snack bars. He can chisel ice of off the Ice Wall for water.
We would of course keep all rights to the ensuing Ice Wall at the Edge of the Earth video. Either blackmail the Round Earther Cabal with threats to release it and expose their conspiracy, or we post it on YouTube and get a million hits.

So... say if phil gets on a plane in Los Angeles and flies east... and lands in London.. then takes off again and keeps flying east and every time that he lands he takes off and goes east some more...does he end up back at Los Angeles? Who can you hear speaking if the Earth is rotating at 1037 mph and the speed of sound at sea level is 761.1 mph?

The question forces you to confront an easily visualized and insoluble problem created by a Flat Earth.
You can’t figure out how to explain circumnavigation.
The “rhetorical” airplane has to fly off the Edge of the Flat Earth, since it can’t be flying around a globe that doesn’t exist.
Feel free to find some Flat Earth model showing us how it is that airplanes arrive back at their starting point if they fly in the same direction long enough.
We could always switch the question to flying/sailing to the West and see if you have any better luck figuring out an answer. Go for it, Ferdinand Magellan.

I did go to my Geography classes way back when and got two degrees in the subject - had two physical geography classes using Strahler’s textbook that listed the 8 proofs of the earth as a sphere, all based on human observation and traditional surveying techniques. Easily debunked now with better information and tools— NASA should have been the source for the final proof on the shape of the earth, one way or the other, but it was never mentioned. Alas, Hollywood blue screens, CGI, and a Propaganda machine is all NASA has for us... enraging considering the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ squandered to do their real mission of surveillance and weather modification/warfare against the planet.
Getting back to Mad Mike, I just watched one of his videos from 2018 and the so-called Death Shot. It made me recall hearing that Epstein is dead (not), Bin Laden was buried at sea (not), and Alex Jones is really Alex Jones (who still cares). Where is the proof that Mad Mike was in the rocket, let alone dead? I don’t buy it. Either way -The guy sounded like a naive idiot, perfect for demonizing anyone else associated with FE ideas. He was never asked on camera what he saw in 2018, but the interviewer told us “it’s not flat.” All rightey then, why go back up? There is no such thing as Settled Science, as this is not the goal of real science to be settled once and for all. What is not new is those in power suppressing contradictory information that would be proof positive of a Loving God that made this awesome place for us humans to live and flourish - to love and care for each other and not be Enemies. This projection can be cut up and applied to a globe and conversely. The grid is a manmade construct based on a sphere where the Equator is set at 0 degrees and 90 degrees at the North Pole and 90 degrees at the South POle. ON a flat plane map of earth as shown in the Azim.Equid. proj., the North Pole could be Zero degrees, and arbitrarily end at 180 degrees at the Antarctic rim. The bulk of the land mass is in the Northern half of either scenario. When you look at the Azim.Equid. projection, it makes more sense how the land mass was together (Pangea, Gondwanaland were a few of the ancient names before breaking into continents). Planes going from Japan to San Fran fly over the Arctic Circle, not straight across the Pacific, which looks closer on a globe. Look at the line from NYC to the tip of South America, the closest any continent is to Antarctica. No circumnavigation involved.
