I bought a cheap used cellphone on Amazon as backup in case mine breaks... I made a list of ‘must haves’ and I’m going to do some duplicates. Phone, pool pump, pool sweep... phone chargers, can opener...etc.
China’s factories are slowing down... things aren’t being delivered in time. If a company runs machinery and ONE little part is broken and needs to be replaced the whole machine doesn’t work until that part is replaced.
That’s a worst case...
Then there’s stuff like travel... After what you’ve seen on the news, would YOU want to be on a cruise ship? People dependent on money and jobs from the travel industry could be hurting soon...
Then again, rumor is the Chinese are telling people to go to work...and if the virus is tamed, that would be enough to solve the problem and turn everything around... We should know within a month or two...

I am using the Walmart grocery pick up option...I have been pleased with it...
Also using their delivery. On many of their brands, no extra cost involved...
Both the delivery and pick up save me from having to go to the big box store.
I have a nice market around the corner that I go to for fresh produce etc.
I should look into whether Costco has pickup option...
My son is working from home 24/7...He lives out in San Jose....becoming a hermit for the time being.
Dude, I’m not a financial whiz but when you check out the top parties getting or buying either free or very low prices and selling them for HUGE gains the same day later, that is a big big red flag for me. Especially when you look at the tops guys names many from India.
I am not sure what you are saying. Do you believe that stocks should trade at the same price every day all day long? Think about a stock like Procter & Gamble. Do you think that what happens on Tuesday or Wednesday affects what that stocks price should be on Thursday or Friday? Whose opinion as to what a stock is worth on any one particular day should control things?

IDK but when I see a stock rise 240 to 500% over a year and the top guys getting free or low priced and selling same day that is crazy

We have heard nothing from our own leadership about the ages and ethnicity of the dead. As with flu here... it’s more likely the sepsis from a secondary infection that kills you and only people already at risk. However, if you tell everyone the flu killed gabillions they will roll up their sleeves and submit.

Same here. I’ve been all over the world in my younger years. Don’t need to see it again now with all the hassles of traveling. If I can’t get to someplace by car now, I don’t need to go.

Futures down almost 800 (DOW) as I type this...glad I’m in principle-protect mode with my retirement stuff.
DOW futures now down only -807 as of this post.
