Biden camp hits Sanders on 'incomplete list' of how to pay for proposals

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign on Tuesday slammed its top rival Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) over providing an “incomplete list” of how the progressive candidate plans to pay for his numerous policy proposals.

“Senator Sanders has put forward plans that would more than double the size of the federal government. The incomplete list of the payfors he’s put forward doesn’t even begin to fully cover the costs, and relies on fuzzy accounting for what it does cover,” Biden communications director Kate Bedingfield said in a statement.

The Biden camp response comes the morning after Sanders released a list of how he plans to pay for his big ticket proposals, including Medicare for All and the Green New Deal.

The list goes through the Democratic frontrunner's proposals and shows how he plans to pay for each one of them, mostly through a tax on Wall Street and a proposed wealth tax.

But the Biden campaign said Sanders's “back-of-the-napkin math” does not account for the full cost of the candidate’s lofty proposals.

“It's time for Senator Sanders to be honest with the American people about what his agenda will mean for their family budgets for two key reasons,” Bedingfield said. “First, the American people should get to make a decision based on facts. Second, we’re not going to beat [President] Donald Trump in November with political double talk that tries to hide the ball on lurking tax hikes on the middle class.”

Sanders’s release of his plan on how he’d pay for his proposals coincided with his announcement during a CNN town hall the same night that he wants to distinguish himself from Trump's rhetoric by detailing how he’d fund plans he’s proposing on the campaign trail.

A spokesperson for the Sanders campaign was not immediately available for comment.

There is essentially no difference between Sanders and any of the leading Democrat candidates. Seriously.

Sanders is a communist.
Money isn’t a thing in communism.
He doesn’t care how it will be paid for.
Those needed to provide what he proposes will, simply, provide what is proposed.
He doesn’t see the issue.

Says the guy who upped the ante yesterday with FREE MONEY for homebuyers.

It is hilarious. They each keep upping the ante then complain that the other players can’t cover their bets.

What a bunch of losers.

Why can’t we get back to YOU pay for what you need or want and YOU decide what is affordable?

That’s correct - he is only being honest about what he plans to do - they all have the same plans, they are just trying to get elected first by lying about how extreme their positions are.

Difficulty is proving it, vs the colloquial understanding of “democratic socialist” which his supporters insist he is.

It is not a mystery. Sanders is merely being honest, and taking Democrats where they really want to go. The Establishment Democrats (Deep State), have always had a plan to deceive America by claiming they are ‘middle of the road’, whatever that is, but Sanders has the guts to stand up and say, ‘no, we are socialists, and time for a call to arms for all liberals. Thus, in the respect that Trump appeals to Conservatives and their disdain for the Establishment Republicans, Sanders appeals to Liberal, Socialist Democrats and also have disdain for the Establishment ‘inside the beltway’ Democrats. The more they try to suppress Trump, the more his base increases. And I believe that the more they try to suppress Bernie supporters, the stronger he will become as well. I really think that this will be the first election in a long, long time where a clear choice will have to be made for the future of America. No more kicking the can down the road. The road stops here.

Shark Jumped. Socialism depends on people believing funding will magically appear. If you are trying to sell it you are losing when you try to explain how you will pay for it.
