Nearly 200 women pack church and pack heat to fire guns

ROSELAWN, Ohio – New Prospect Baptist Church is home to one of the largest black congregations in Cincinnati. On any weekend there you'll find weddings, funerals, and three Sunday services.

Not exactly a place you think you'd find 179 women firing .22-caliber handguns in the church basement.

But that's exactly what happened on Feb. 8, when the church opened its doors to what state officials believe is one of the largest women-only, concealed carry gun certification classes held in the state of Ohio.

.22 ! What’s that about. Get some PROFESSIONAL advice. THEweakest cal is cheap for practicing; but always fire your carry. .25 is the absolute lowest carry, but you will Have to empty the weapon and hope. The Musad used .25 for assassinations. Someone else can probably recommend a proper weapon and cal. JMO.

Introductory course to help alleviate their fear of guns. What the do from then on is up to them. Move up the scale of just say thanks for the info.

Nothing wrong with a 22 cal if you know how to use it. I’ve killed tons of hogs with a 22 cal handgun with a 3” barrel.

I believe I read that .22 was/is the Mafia’s caliber of choice. You’re right i that if you’re accurate, a .22 is fine. I’d go a little bigger just to make sure. :)

Bigger is better, but accuracy means more. Use whatever you can keep in 6” circle at 20 feet.
