Bison are soooooo much easier to run than cattle!! We started out with cattle and one of the problems was loose dogs chasing the cattle to death. We shot quite a few dogs back then.

Now we have bison and occasionally we’ll go out and shovel up the remains of the dogs that mistook bison for cattle.

One of the most terrifying things I’ve ever seen is an angry bulls bison bouncing up and down on all four legs (like a pogo stick kind of bounce!) on the corpse of a dog that wasn’t a corpse a few moments before.

And then it just casually snorted, walked away, and resumed grazing like it was no big deal.

We get a good price on the bison and it’s a much more stable market than the Live Cattle market.
