‘Operation Chaos’ GOP group makes its choice for SC Democratic primary
The State ^

Posted on 02/26/2020 6:49:17 PM PST by springwater13

More Republican groups hoping to meddle in the state’s Democratic presidential primary on Saturday have decided who will get their vote.

The Greenville Tea Party has chosen to support for Vermont U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, as he has risen in the polls and has won the popular vote in the Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada contests.

Former Vice President Joe Biden has consistently led in the South Carolina polls, but the lead over Sanders has shrunk in recent weeks.

Stephen Brown, the former chairman of the Greenville Tea Party, said a few thousand votes may tip the scales of Saturday’s primary in Sanders’ direction.

“He’s doing well in the polls,” Brown said.

A Sanders nomination would provide a clear contrast with President Donald Trump in November, supporters of the so-called “Operation Chaos” movement say.

Your assessment of her is accurate (plus she has a temper like Hillary based on numerous first-hand accounts.) I’ve lived in MN since 1985 and I’ve yet to fully understand how folks like Amy can garner the votes she has received. I do know that historically the DFL (Democrat / Farmer / Labor party) has been very good at getting its members to unify around whatever lackey they’ve offered up on the ballot. I’m a right-of-Attila-the-Hun public administrator (rarer than leprechauns) and I will note that there is a strange phenomenon in this state where local elected officials tend to vote and live their personal lives as conservatives. My mayor, a true-blue democrat, has 10-year voting record that is virtually indistinguishable from the most conservative member of my city council. It is only in the realm of state and federal races that the ‘gimme-dat’ virus takes hold.

> it means you can’t participate in selecting GOP congressional candidates either, or local candidates
President ain’t the only thing on the ballot!
____________
Depends on the state.
Az has a split primary. Presidential primary is in March and the “local” primary is in August.

I plead with all of you to stop this nonsense. Whatever reason you wrap this in, it still does not change the fact that you are helping an open communist win the nomination.

Think about that..... you are the very people helping a communist.

Bernie is the only Dem running that any such voter has any enthusiasm over. He could be formidable if he holds his own in battleground states.

Supporting Sanders could take Quid Pro out of the race. That wouldn’t promote chaos, but ameliorate it. Support Joe or Buttigag. Or maybe Klobishard. Keep them from dropping out.

Jstolzen you are absolutely correct. Many here will tell you operation chaos was to vote for Hillary. That is not the case at all. It was to vote for whomever was down, to maximize the carnage time. Just because Hillary was down most of the time does not change the idea of the operation.

And you are 100% correct, it gave us Obama, with Hillary in tow as SOS, and gave Hillary another shot at the presidency once Obama was term limited. We were one Trump away from operation chaos getting us Obama AND Hillary.

Operation chaos was one of the worst ideas of my lifetime. Thanks Rush, you tool.

“They should actually vote for one of the zombie candidates like Tom Styer.

Ensure a brokered convention.”

Steyer won’t get to 15% anywhere other than SC, so it would be a wasted vote.

Looks like the Carolina GOP doesn’t even need any help from Putin’s hackers.

There have been a number of reports that President Trump is also showing signs of dementia. His father died of Alzheimers. My husband died of Alzheimers and he seems to have some of the early signs my husband had. I sure would not have wanted my husband to have the launch codes, even in the earlier phases. Trump has said his father was born in Germany when it was his grandfather who was born their. One evening when he was tired my husband asked if his mother was still alive. She had died 6 or 8 years earlier. I am worried.

Many people are forgetting that... spreading the word as I can, you can’t vote in the Dem primary if you are a GOP party activist, and working with the GOP is far and away the more productive thing to do for a conservative.

But how will the 500 Super Delegates vote if Bernie does not win on the first ballot??

With both President Trump and Saunders as buddies, Putin cannot loose this election. Oh, wait, maybe if Saunders does not become the candidate.

RE how will the Super Delegates vote if Bernie does not win on the first ballot?
.
beyond “not Bernie” that’s unpredictable....
.
That would be Hillary’s opportunity to swoop in on her broom.
(Podesta is on rules committee)
delegate leaders would all fight for themselves.
Biden may be best positioned if it happens.
food fight galore
maybe Kerry or Gore if things got a little crazier.

I think this is a mistake.

Operation Chaos should support Biden so that we go into a contested convention. The establishment won’t be able to stop themselves from stealing it from the Bern. This is the optimal outcome.

If Uncle Joe somehow wins outright, I am more confident of Trump defeating him than Sanders in the election.

In the Washington State Presidential Preference Primary which has a mail in vote; I voted for Trump. Washington State requires the voter to mark a party preference on the back of the envelope. I could not in good conscience deliberately violate Exodus 20:16 by marking Democratic as my party preference.

No, this is a very stupid, very dangerous idea. Bernie is NOT the weakest candidate, but he is the one that will most endanger our Republic.

Do not call for this, please.

“We need to push him over the top and down their throats.”

I would be careful about this. There were a lot of leftists voting in the 2016 primary for PDJT, under the theory that they were making a smart, strategic move. I think a lot of their current insanity can be attributed to the reality of that move. If Sanders were to get in, I would not want that on my conscience.
