South Philadelphia residents are outraged after a federal judge cleared the way for a safe injection site in the city. The planned site is not where it was originally proposed and some of the neighbors from the new location are not happy. Councilman Mark Squilla says the site will be at Constitution Health Plaza, near Broad and McKean Streets, in South Philadelphia.
During Wednesdays contentious press conference, promised facts about the forthcoming opening of the citys first injection site were overshadowed by a lot of back and forth between angry community members and the heads of nonprofit agency Safehouse, which is running the program on behalf of the City of Philadelphia.

As NPR pointed out four years ago...
Obamacare is driving their growth in part because so many more people have health insurance, and in particular because of a provision in the law that allows people up to age 26 to stay on their parents' insurance policies. That's the age of many opioid and heroin abusers.
Suddenly there's a huge stream of cash for Acadia and other companies to tap into...
Of course, it is taxpayer money they tap into but hey, think of it as the cost of living on the democrat version of their good ship Lollypop and it's almost sugar free!

Even small towns have needle exchange sites, but they do prohibit injection there.
