Great news!
FISA warrants are so rarely used in a criminal trial, that it’s a easonable approximation to say they are NEVER used in a criminal prosecution.
Most of the aggressive snooping is done with no warrant at all, or some sort of “blanke authorization.”
FISA reform won’t change the extent of warrantless snooping one bit. All this maneuvering is window dressing.
Either the FISA process is corrected to exclude spying on US citizens or it should be disbanded. The FBI and CIA used the process in an effort to commit a coup against a president. Maybe it should just be ended for that. The government has proven it is unable to be trusted with such power.
