Rep. Elaine Luria is the kind of up-and-comer the Democratic Party would like to keep in Congress.
But the former Navy commander with a moderate bearing, who flipped a coastal Virginia House seat in 2018, said she's afraid that will be far more difficult if her party nominates Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders for president.
“When I talk to people across our district, they are very pragmatic, middle of the road,” said Luria, who has endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden. “They don’t want free everything for everyone, or policy positions that are unrealistic.”

Biden will win Super Tuesday. It’s gonna be Joe’s senility vs. med-swamp blame of Trump for COVID-19 panic and imminent recession in Nov.

recent events in VA are the proof there are no such things as “Moderate” Democrats anymore.
There are only Democrats who tell the truth about their agenda like Sanders or Warren and the rest that share the agenda but lie about it to get elected

I voted for Tulsi, because nice butt, and Bernie’s going to win here anyway, because Denver/Boulder/Ft. Collins.
They are trying to pump up the fake moderates to avoid the Bern that is coming in November.
Luria, Spanberger and others that faked moderate to get elected will have to embrace the Bern or run from it.
Either way, it’s not good for them.
There is no way Biden gets a majority of Delegates by Convention time.

I think if Sanders has a poor showing in SC it will tell us how Democrats in a more conservative state think and act. That will translate to Dem primaries in many Southern states, perhaps not N.C. which has gone fairly liberal.
Exactly, and the entire Democrat Party is in lockstep with Comrade Sanders. GOP commercials this fall need to link Bernie, communism and the Democrats together continuously!
I’m voting Blumberg. Bernie has enough delegates and will have the majority by the convention. Think how delicious it would be to have the Dems broker the convention and oust Bernie. The berine bros would go wild. They might riot. They will definitely not vote for the Dem candidate, they’ll stay home and Trump wins the whole enchilada.
Bernie has a rabid following, I don’t want that generating a momentum that might carry him to the white house. The others couldn’t campaign their way out of a wet paper bag.

The out of state money dumped into the state for the 2018 election was outrageous. So now we have radical left jerks in power, who are wielding it like a sledgehammer on citizens of the commonwealth.
As my old Circus Friend says. Bernie was great as a side show attraction but he can’t make it in the big Tent, let alone the center ring.
He’s leading in the polls in VA.
