It’s not a shocking statement if you know history. FDR was a pretty thoroughgoing Socialist Dictator. It took his death to remove him from office. He chose an outright pro-Soviet Communist as his VP in 1940, Henry Wallace. Anyone that can’t see that the Democrat party was hijacked by the Socialist left in 1896 and was generally sympathetic to every Socialist-Communist dictatorship from 1912-onwards just isn’t paying attention. Look at the two decades from 1933-53 that Communists got well embedded into the government. Even Eisenhower, whose father was a Socialist, stood by and did little to stop the infiltration and was more concerned about whistleblowers (McCarthy) than exposing and removing them from government, the diplomatic corps and other aspects of society.

The only difference between Bernie Sanders and FDR/Wilson, is that he’s being a lot more open and honest about their end goals of Socialist-Marxist dystopia.

Even Eisenhauer! Sigh....
I appreciate your reminders.
Apparently, socialism has never been too far from the surface, even in America. I knew these details, but had not thought about them recently.

When you consider there has been no outright rollback of government and spending since President Harding almost 100 years ago, we’ve been pretty much chin-deep in Socialism for most of that time. Even Reagan and Trump haven’t been able to slay the monsters (not for lack of trying).

No way Michael takes the gig. He just bought a house with his gay Kenyan hubby in MA. Cankles WOULD want it, but, fine. If they give it to her to stop Dinobernie, then they are looking at a 30% black defection and probably 1/2 of Dinobernie’s supporters, or, roughly 20% of the DemoKKkrat Party.

Bring. It. On.

Except he was black. Americans did not want the first “black president” to be kicked out after one term, ignominiously.

Michelle wouldn’t take the job unless the royal couple is looking at criminal charges against them.

Neither HilLIARy nor hate-America Michelle can save the D party. They’re both liabilities, not assets. Big liabilities. But the idea to find someone to salvage the D’s sinking ship is out there now. We can expect to see maybe several more old faces offer their services. What the D’s need however is a credible salable new face, not just one of the old discredited people ,

IF Bannon thinks Burnie might win obviously Democrats will too. No way they steal the nom from him again.

Harry Truman and JFK were partisan Democrats but they would almost qualify as honorary members of the John Birch Society compared to the current crop of Democratic candidates running for President (all of them, even Tulsi). Truman had served in WWI and was from a county in Missouri which had strongly supported the Confederate side in the War. Kennedy was a WWII veteran and a Cold Warrior. Plus he cut taxes.

Every election cycle, Quinnipiac polls are the most inaccurate, i.e. wrong, polls of the lot.

And I mean WAY wrong.

It was predictable, people who were paying attention explained why at the time, and under the same circumstances it would happen again.

You don’t want Bernie third party. That would bring his raving idiots to the polls and hurt the down ballot candidates.

I think his faction is prepared to run a ticket, but the candidates will all be younger.

I still think Tulsi Gabbard will head their ticket.

“This is the only reason that I think she might consider“

True enough but that’s not enough. She has it made why give it up to have to step into the thunder dome? That said, I sure as hell hope she doesn’t.
I may get flamed but I think she might beat Trump. She looks like the most dangerous rat they have a real threat IMHO.
By the it looks way the market will get hit tomorrow maybe not the crash you said we might get but it will be ugly l think. How much of a threat do you think all this really is to Trump?

I dont think he’ll win Texas, I think Bidens win in South Carolina will knock some sense into most dems to the realization that Biden is their best bet to beat Trump.
