Officials have confirmed 978 cases in Iran and 54 deaths, the highest death toll of any country outside China. But religious leaders continue reject advice from the Health Ministry to close holy sites to help stop the spread of infection.
Worrying videos posted to social media show worshippers saying they ‘don’t care what happens’ and ‘I am not scared of coronavirus’. A child is even hailed for licking a shrine in the northern city of Qom, which has become the epicentre for the Iranian outbreak.
Journalist Masih Alinejed shared the videos and said the Iranian regime is ‘endangering the lives of Iranians and the world’ by keeping the holy sites open.

Yeah and the first official case in New York is a woman returning from visit to Iran.
That means there are at least 2,000 cases that they don't know about.
And why are we allowing travel to and from Iran?
Lot of American-Iranians around....fair number of them left in the 1970s when things were falling apart. Most all of them are pro-US.

POTUS should order a ban on the travel, except for US citizens returning, and they need to be put in 30 day quarantine.
Iranians are some of the best people I’ve ever met.

Hospital staff say they are lying about the death numbers in Qom.
One other observation after watching the numbers in differing countries. We either have 2 differing strains, one more deadly than the other or many countries are fudging the numbers.

Feds moved travel restrictions to Level 4 IIRC, yesterday.
Maybe they’re thinking that, even if they catch it, they have a 97% of surviving it. Glass half full thinking, maybe. Or maybe they’re just being foolish.
