I am pleased to announce that Congressman Mark Meadows will become White House Chief of Staff. I have long known and worked with Mark, and the relationship is a very good one....

This is indeed great news.
Mulvaney, like all elected GOP in SC, is a Bush League Republican hell bent on turning the USA into North Mexico.
Who will replace him in Congress?
I often don’t like to see a good House member taken out to be a Cabinet member unless they will be replaced by someone at least nearly as good.
Tell Mulvaney to go search for the pot of gold that the leprechaun has and get back to us when he finds it.
“”I often dont like to see a good House member taken out to be a Cabinet member unless they will be replaced by someone at least nearly as good.””
I don’t like it at all. He wanted Doug Collins (R-GA) until Collins said he wasn’t interested and is running for the Senate. He has to STOP trying to peel them out of Congress - he can’t just take it for granted that they will be replaced in November or that we will add to our numbers there. It’s going to be hard enough as it is. He’s after Ratcliff (R-TX) again for something when he didn’t get him the first time.
Meadows already declined to run for re-election back in December. His seat just had the primary, that race is going to a run-off.
Also the 11th District was made WAY more Republican than it was in the past with the forced redistricting. It’s a GOP vote sink. Whoever wins the GOP primary will win here in November.
Sadly you have that wrong
With the redistricting/gerrymandering it was going to be much harder for Meadows to win.
The 11th district, Western North Carolina, has been vitally important......it brought Donald Trump over the top for North Carolina in 2016
Thus the shenanigans lately
That’s simply not true. The new District 11 is one of the most Republican districts in NC. While Asheville was added back in, so was Avery County, most of Rutherford County and Polk County.
It was the 2nd and the 6th Districts that the GOP gave away in the forced redraw, not the 11th.
I dont know where youre getting your information.
I stand by my position.
Stand by it if you want. Do you even know what the new lines are?
The Asheville portion of Buncombe County was added in to the 11th District, but so was most of Rutherford (72% Trump) Polk (62% Trump) and Avery (76% Trump).
Do you live there?
