One means that abusers use to exert control over their victims is to challenge the victims’ realities, to tell the victims that everything they think is true is actually false. The more the victim becomes uncertain about what they see and perceive, the more control the abuser has over them.

Some people just want the government to run their lives and make all their decisions for them. They are looking for the easy ride. They don’t care about individual freedom and don’t like the concept of personal responsibility.
They are quite willing to accept tyranny in exchange for the “helping hand of government”. Unfortunately their votes count just as much as ours do.
