China is building the silk road and may be passing through Iran, I have not bothered to search details.
The “Silk Road” (Trade with China) has flowed to Persia since the 14th century. The “New Silk Road” will follow a similar route.
My point is that China has been the primary trading partner of Iran for just about forever.
