Save your breath. Facts mean nothing those that say only hire Americans.
Companies cannot find good workers in any industry. Our problem is us!

If laborer positions aren't being filled by Americans, that means a market wage is not being offered. Allow the American labor market to work: as wages rise, there is more incentive to, for example, spend less time between jobs and postpone retirement. (No, those nearing retirement will not be doing construction labor, but labor is at least partially fungible: near-retirees taking jobs they can do frees up more able-bodied workers for the jobs only they can do.) If end customers won't pay the price needed to supply the free-market wage, that's the market saying that the labor purchaser needs to go out of business, freeing up resources for more efficient competitors or markets. Inefficient producers want cheap-labor socialism to protect them from the free market.

Wolf said of the extra 35,000 foreign workers that 10,000 will be from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras “to stem the flow of illegal migration in the region and encourage lawful migration to the U.S.”

Chad Wolf sounds like a brain dead liberal... time for him to move on to some other profession...

“Good question. I thought the administration was pro-USA.”

Maybe the President but Javanka certainly isn’t.

“At least the Mexicans and Central Americans who got these jobs showed up, did their jobs, accepted orders from the boss, and in some cases ended up as foremen because they were willing to start at the bottom. “

All the time their wives and children were getting full boat welfare and EITC.

Pay more and/or provide better working conditions and you will havr plenty of American workers. God knows, we’ve got enough of our own low-skill Millennials and Gen Z to go around!

No, the wives and children were back in Latin America. These people send money home, to wives, children, parents, etc. because their own corrupt countries are too dysfunctional and left wing to know how to have a functioning economy.

Construction used to be a decent-payung job until we opened the floodgates to illegals. We need to kick them out and go back to paying all hardworking Americans decently.

They don’t compete with native born Americans, because they’re paid the same. But I have worked with training progrmas and Americans seem to think this work is beneath them. We actually need a lot of workers like this and it’s not a dead-end job...I worked in the restaurant biz for years, and while I finally didn’t want to make it a career, you could easily start low and rise from being the bus boy or waiter/waitress to manager or from being the salad prep person to being the managing chef or even the chef, if you did a little work on your skills.

It’s a high burnout industry because it’s very hard work, and a lot of low-skilled Americans could benefit enormously but they won’t go into it or go into it with such a bad attitude that they never move up. It’s not demeaning work; no work is demeaning.
