Sure, it is better for experienced workers, but the starting pay is now crappy:

Didn’t used to be that way.

And we could use a full decade moratorium on low-skill legal immigration, while also sending the 30 million-plus illegals here now back!

How old are you? What frame of reference do you have? And unions muck things up wherever they are.

You realize these govt report are Lies by the people in power .
Nothing gets issued that conflicts with there agenda .
Right now the donor class wants the DC cheap labor express to hit the peddle. The news story confirms who is in charge in DC.

We don't need any more labor from overseas .
We need to stop these corrupt H. 1 and 2 Visa programs and there distorting of the
labor market.

Look I’m a contractor out here in California and I’ll say it flat out - white kids don’t want to work!

They’re mostly spoiled Liberal brats That think everything should be handed to them

I’m sorry but it’s true

You're right as rain with your comments.

I've got 3 friends who all own and run businesses and they are experiencing the SAME exact problems.

It appears the NEW mentality is.. "I don't want a good job.. just some money!"

Nope. This was not a report of that sort. It had nothing to do with economic benefit.

I guess some people have a hard time embracing the reality that Americans are lazy, distracted, and don't like to work.

sounds like your problem. Not sure why the federal government should be involved with bringing in foreigners for your company.

“American construction workers today make $5 an hour less than they did in the early 1970s, after adjusting for inflation.

In 1972, construction paid today’s equivalent of $32 an hour, almost $10 more than the average private-sector job. But real wages steadily declined for decades, erasing much of that gap.”

The GOPe and their corporate globalist johns have put out plenty of reports, none worth the paper they’re printed on.

Americans seek wages - for the market wage , any job can be filled.

Wow, so the law of supply and demand doesn’t apply to the seasonal labor market? You’d get a Nobel prize for proving that - only it’s nonsense spouted by welfare-seekers and their dupes.

Emphasis on your idea: are they planning on having to replace all the workers who will die from the Coronavirus because of failure to implement effective quarantine? Then they better bring in lots of trained and hopefully experienced healthcare workers.
