I stay in the Plaza in Santa Fe from time to time. There is a bookstore in the Palace of the Governors there, and while browsing I heard a conversation that gave me the impression they really liked her-then. Things may have changed.

My wife and I were in Santa Fe last April to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. We honeymooned there in 1974 so we travel back to Santa Fe from time to time. In recent years when we visit it seems Valerie Plame is featured on the front cover of the Santa Fe magazine.
Santa Fe is very liberal of course to the extent an acquaintance of mine, a retired petroleum executive, moved there shortly after he retired. He lasted about three years and sold his home and moved back to Colorado. He is a strong conservative and couldn't tolerate Santa Fe.
