We need to neuter the phrase “gun violence”. That phrase polls well. If violence is going to happen, “unarmed” gang violence (if we pretend that criminals will follow those laws) beats unarmed individual self defense every time. If thugs bring violence to decent people, gun violence is our only hope. That’s why democrats want decent Americans disarmed - so that we don’t hurt their reliable criminal voters. That’s also why I’m a big fan of armed citizens.

Democrat politicians advocate gun control, and nearly all violent crime is committed by Democrats. So the opponents of gun control should relent.

The NRA should be reply by calling for gun control for Democrats only.

Republicans have no reason to object to voluntary gun control - it’s not my business if you voluntarily don’t own a gun - and Democrats would be getting what they say they want - a law against violent people owning guns.
