he U.S. is discussing with its NATO allies what they can offer Turkey in terms of military assistance in Idlib and discussing measures that may be taken if Russia and the Syrian government breaks a ceasefire, officials said on Tuesday.

“We are looking at what NATO can do,” James Jeffrey, the U.S.’ special envoy for Syria, told reporters in a conference call from Brussels where he was holding talks with allies. “Everything is on table.”

I think if Turkey would pull all its military assets out of northern Syria....both Russia and Syria would be in a non-threat position.

If we were just in a Clinton or Obama Presidency....we’d have ‘peace-talks’ in Paris or Vienna with all the trimmings....going on for months, and some PhD idiot up for the Nobel Peace Prize.

This is not good, IMO. Turkey has no business being in NATO and we have no business helping an enemy of Israel.

Idiots. Turkey has invaded Syria to support a Sunni rebel group. And if Syria or it’s allies, inside Syria, don’t abide with a ceasefire that protects these ISIS enclaves, NATO might attack.

In a sane world, Turkey's actions against Greece would activate NATO Article 5 as an attack on one NATO country being an attack on all.

“The U.S. is discussing with its NATO allies what they can offer Turkey in terms of military assistance in Idlib and discussing measures that may be taken if Russia and the Syrian government breaks a ceasefire”

And if Erdogan breaks the ceasefire???????

Keep our aid and the oil held by the Kurds. Let Assad kick Erdogan out of Idlib. Then, minus Erdogan we can carve out a deal with Assad for the Kurds. Neither Assad nor Russia want a fight with us over the area being held with our help by the Kurds.

Total neocon BS.

Headchoppers don’t need our aid. We should be aiding Syria.

"Jeffrey, who was speaking alongside the U.S. ambassador to Turkey David Satterfield, ruled out the use of ground troops should the ceasefire be broken and repeated that Ankara needed to clarify its stance on purchase of the Russian S400 Air Defence System."

The “sick man of Europe” should not be in NATO. This evil, clownish looking buffoon Erdogan and his fairy tale religion is the problem. Of course you cannot say the obvious when it comes to the truth about the fairly tale religion of an illiterate, child pedophile, murderer, rapist, thief, and epileptic named Mahomet (British spelling).

Why is the US trying to prevent Syria from gaining control over their entire country?

It makes no sense. None.

This is about at f’d up a move as the handling of Covid-19 by my government. I guess Erdogan’s threats worked. Oh, wait he is still forcing people at gunpoint towards Greece, and he is still fighting alongside the terrorists to occupy, and claim Northern Syria for Turkey.

I have about given up on any common sense in the US Government.

“” “” Why is the US trying to prevent Syria from gaining control over their entire country?”” “”

It depends on motives. Funding ISIS didn’t make sense too.
