So far 14,000 have died from the flu in the US. From WuFlu? 30.
Very good.
Called her Cleopatra because she’s the Queen of de Nile.
Don”t get old.
All strains of “regular flu” in Washington State for the 2019-2020 season: ~1,500,000 cases and 75 fatalities
COVID-19 since January 2020: 373 cases with 30 fatalities.
30 have died in Washington, 6 in the rest of the U.S.
Of course Washington is full of Chinese people over 80 who have been in Italy and now reside in nursing homes and these people aren’t found in the rest of the U.S.
It Can’t happen here, right Cleopatra?
get random testing going OF PEOPLE NOT SEEKING MEDICAL CARE then we'll have a more reasonable assessment of how extensive this disease and how deadly....I suspect a lot of people have it or had it and never knew it....
in the meantime, I will keep my 90 mil and my 70 yro dialysis pt sil away from crowds and visitors....
Not to worry, Washington State has the Death With Dignity Act, and they also allow the composting of cadavers. They’ve got it all covered.
Who do you think dies of the flu?
Mostly elderly people and some children....

Good—cremation practiced at Wuhan levels world wide would cause global warming. Seattle once again will show us the way.
A way that is broad and easy, and many go there.
I’ll take the dirt road, it’s all I know. I’ve been walking it for years—it goes where I need to go. It ain’t easy, it ain’t supposed to be. (Saywer Brown)
I posted this same thing yesterday these caretakers work in multiple facilities AND can also work in private homes, there has to be a common person between the two facilities this person is probably a carrier with no symptoms!!!
That is very well possible.. They said that several of the care givers had the virus!
Yep, my “off the cuff” guess would be 5x-10x the cases currently being reported by individual states. Somewhat less for WA state as they have done more testing.
California is reporting 177 cases...baseed on news & current cases I would say with wide testing that number would go to at least 1000.
For example Tom Hanks caught COVID-19 while filming in rural Queensland, Australia with Australia only reporting 128 cases in the whole country...widespread testing would show many, many more cases in most countries.
Age? Bad knees? Breathing problems? Tats of Elvis?
Living in a nursing home? Some homes have casualty rates that would rival an infantry platoon on D-Day.
Or are these people simply coughing once, taking a sideways step and dropping like a hammered steer?
I'm noticing a hole, here.
Bump!
There is another question too, accuracy of the tests.
% of false positives and % of false negatives.
People old as dust that probably would have passed in the short term anyway. There is a reason these 80 and 90 year olds are in places like this. Hint: it isnt because they are healthy and strong.
Assisted living facilities where flu kills.
Like my Dad last spring.
So WuFlu is just like the regular flu. It just kills as many in 1/10th the time.
.
What happens when it hits the Assisted Living facility on the Potomac?
Oh,wait.....
By the way, I recently retired from an industry closely tied to nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
Washington State was among the very best in the country—top five states for sure. Excellent care, great staff...
