WASHINGTON—When the House of Representatives approved a bipartisan compromise measure Wednesday to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, including the court at the center of the Spygate scandal, it appeared supporters were headed to a quick victory.
Even Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee and one of President Donald Trump’s fieriest defenders during the Democratic impeachment drive that developed out of Spygate, called the measure “real reform,” though he acknowledged he wanted more FISA changes.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-S.C.), Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) announced they support upper-chamber passage of the measure, known officially as the “USA Freedom Reauthorization Act of 2020.”

If Trump signs re-authorization of a system that has been used to abuse, harass and destroy his presidency, then he loses a lot of credibility with me.
Do nt approve until we are assured by the law itself that it CANNOT BE TURNED AGAINST THE AMERICAN PEOPLE and that to break this law carries a mandatory prison term for all involved from the director, to the approvers and to the perpatrators.

Check what the Fourth Amendment actually says and live with those words. Kill FISA as a system of laws. Erase FISA itself from the body of laws.You have sworn an oath to uphold the Fourth Amendment. Live with what the founders wrote.

I am disappointed to say that there was no hearing or markup on H.R. 6172. We did not bring in experts or weigh the pros and cons. Instead, the bill was written behind closed doors by a handful of people, and Members were given just one day to consider a monumental surveillance reauthorization that violates the Fourth Amendment. That is just plain wrong.
And Jim Jordan is OK with this usual Washington, last-minute, rush job?
What the hell is going on down there?

That was/is the purpose of the damn law, to persecute and prosecute American Citizens. abolish it. It is clearly unconstitutional. It is a secret court. A Star Chamber under any name.
Nothing will happen to them.
