Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib made the remarks during a hearing of the House of Representatives with members of the president's coronavirus task force, confirming earlier reports by US media outlets including Axios and NBC News.
"Congress's attending physician told the Senate that he expects between 70 to 150 million people to eventually contract the coronavirus in the United States," Tlaib said.

No way.
That - 150 million - would be near 1/2 the U.S. population.
That is no where near the worst national case - in China!!!! And the original cluster in China was huge.
Many infected seriously, yes. 150 million, no. And even the 70 million is twice as many as the regular flu, which everyone seems to know someone who got it, and officially that is 35.5 million for the 2018-2019 flu season.

That could be the case with a highly infectious virus if nothing was done to prevent the spread.
Hopefully this country and its people will act smart and shut down a lot of travel and mingling to reduce the spread.
150M people don’t have it in China. Of course they used military enforced quarantines.
