One of my favorite Van songs. I love the harmonica and Hammond B work in this one:

High Summer- Van Morrison

She's standing by the rhododendrons
Where the roses are in bloom
Looking out at the Atlantic ocean
And in her head she hums this tune

Schumann: "Rose, Sea and Stone, Op. 37/9

This is Schumann in blockbuster mode. This time I have English subtitles in the video.

I was about to post that one. Here is Gene Autry's version. Of course we are not talking about a flower, except maybe a broken one:

Does it have to be my *favorite” flower song?

Or can it be just any ol’ “flower song” that I dig up on youtube in an attempt to have something, anything, to contribute?

Because I don’t have a favorite flower song.

I’m allergic.

Schubert: "Dried Flowers," D. 795/11

This is from "The Fair Maid of the Mill," a song cycle with lyrics by Wilhelm Müller (Bill Miller), whose life was just as short and tragic as Schubert's. This is where the hero decides to kill himself.
