I have two children 20 + 24 and I think they were brought up just right my son knows etiquette but how to treat a lady when he takes her out to dinner my daughter nose that she doesn’t have to do anything little boy asked her to do. And she is excelling in math she got those jeans from her dad LOL she goes to McGill in math!!! She did take one piece of advice for me she was accepted at an equally good math program somewhere North in the province of Quebec and I said Julian you and Christopher are probably two of the luckiest people on the planet you were both born in the United States and you’re Canadian by your father you can live and work just about anywhere you want. And I said but if you decide to work in America no one will have heard of the University of la blah blah. But they will have heard of McGill also known as the Harvard of the north. So she did listen to me on that one thing and that’s about it. LOL no seriously when she was five she played air guitar after she got off the bus and she played it in the ditch we have a real property she played air guitar and then ran into the house sobbing crying her eyes out and I said what’s wrong honey she said they want me to play air guitar but I don’t like it I do it just because it makes him happy. And I said look you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do the next time they ask you just so you know I don’t feel like it. And later on in life when you’re older there maybe some boys who want you to do things that you don’t want to do and you can say exactly the same thing no. She is a Taurus and she certainly took my words to heart. She doesn’t like me much because when I was young when she was younger I had a tendency to drink too much and she said I blame you for my crappy childhood I felt like saying a crappy childhood huh you don’t know what a crappy childhood is I was beaten up by my mother so bad I had to wear long sleeves everyday the school to hide all of the bruises she dragged me out from under a table where I went to hide and pulled me out and started beating me up again and I played Viola and I managed to get second chair and my husband how he believes in me he said what were there only two chairs I said no there were five. Anyway just a little personal history and now I’m totally off topic except for the fact that yes parents know how to parent their own children.
