President Donald Trump praised the media’s coverage as being “very fair” recently as he spoke Saturday about the novel coronavirus that has continued to spread across the world.
Trump spoke at the White House after meetings about the novel coronavirus with state and local government officials, he tweeted. During one part of Trump’s coronavirus update, he thanked the media for how it has covered the global pandemic.
“So I just want to thank everybody. I think the press has been really — over the last 24 hours I think the representation’s really been very fair for the most part, been very fair. We’re all in this together.”
The president has often attacked the media in the past, with certain networks such as CNN taking extra hits. He has tweeted about networks often throughout his presidency, declaring them “fake news” and has taken shots at individual reporters as well.

De-politicizing this is in his best interest. Americans are watching and this is not and should not be about politics. Good to take higher road while everyone needs to see him taking serious, grown-up, leadership role.
He did say media - he didn’t specify which ones. Could have easily been talking about social media or conservative outlets like Breitbart or OANN.

They certainly have covered the virus..24/7..or at least every time saw CNN on a public TV that was what was on.
As far as fair goes what i heard, admittedly very little, was not blaming Trump..so, maybe that is what he means.

Trump is playing these guys like a Stradivarius.
This isn’t a big deal virus, but, the media is demanding that it is and that Trump is failing to “do something about it”. So, he does what they want. The virus results in a big nothing and he takes credit.

Well, their plan is no longer to simply ‘get’ Trump. The new plan is to instill enough fear and panic in the populace that they willingly give up their jobs and their freedom. Leftist governors are calling for people to stay home from work, isolate themselves, their neighborhoods, even entire cities. They’re declaring state and local emergencies, placing curfews on citizens and businesses, closing schools, shutting down public gatherings, calling for businesses to close. Declaring martial law and enforcement by the national guard is next.
If they can cause enough panic and unemployment and the economy to crash hard, they can blame the failure on capitalism and throw open the door for the people to willingly accept an FDR-like “New Deal’ to save ‘democracy.’ Luckily, they have a new green deal ready to roll out.
