Former Republican congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul claimed that Coronavirus may be a “big hoax” and wondered why Democrats are so suddenly quick to give President Donald Trump new powers.
“It is ironic to see the same Democrats who tried to impeach President Trump last month for abuse of power demanding that the Administration grab more power and authority in the name of fighting a virus that thus far has killed less than 100 Americans,” Paul wrote in a column for his site.

Ron Paul isn’t cowed by consensus. He’ll speak up whether his views are popular or not. He said the Iraq War was a disastrous mistake, back when it wasn’t allowed in Republican circles to suggest such a thing. Now we have a Republican president who openly and vociferously agrees with what Ron Paul was saying all along.
Have to stay in place in order to not allow this virus to fester among the populace.
It can overwhelm the health care system and end up costing a lot more resources if allowed to get bad before taking action.

Concur. I don’t think this is a hoax, but this has been blown way over-the-top out of proportion.
Everything around me is nearly totally shut down. Traffic n most roads is eerily light. We have basically shut down 60 to 70 percent of the entire country now. In our nation’s history, have we ever done something like this before?
This just seem irrationally disproportionate, but if you look at where most of the edicts are coming from and it seems that governments in Leftist regions are tripping over themselves to show how compassionate they are by imposing ever more government and shutting down businesses.
As I’ve said before, this is all interesting at the moment, but give it another week or 10 days and people won’t be so patient and will start becoming desperate to get back to work and to get back to a normal life. IMO, this is the COVID-19 honeymoon period. It will end soon.
Ron is also in the high risk group. Is he modifying his lifestyle or nah?
They WHY isn't Ron Paul our POTUS? I guess that after THREE failed tries he MIGHT think that he wouldn't win.
