(Harrisburg) A family in Cumberland County is quarantined at home after one member got sick with COVID-19.
Dominic and several friends cut short a spring break trip to Spain when President Donald Trump announced a travel ban to the United States from Europe last Wednesday.
He said he landed in New York City Thursday but wasnt screened at the airport as he expected. He took a bus back to Philadelphia to collect his things.
It wasnt until Sunday, when one of his friends who had been on the trip texted him that he had tested positive, that Dominic realized he might have COVID-19.

And he passed through Philadelphia.
Hope the idiots enjoyed their spring break to Spain...
Testing?
What does testing have to do with how one addresses a pandemic?
We all need to be taking the same measures whatever our “testing” status is.
Dominic said his symptoms are mild, like a common cold or allergies.
If I felt like this during the normal school year flu season, I dont even know if I would pop an Advil or go seek any medical attention, Dominic said. I dont have a fever. I have a little bit of a cough.
We are a nation of infantile misfits, folks. This guy was perfectly fine, and still is. Now theyre treating him like he brought the Black Death back from his spring break.
Why wasn’t he screened when he landed? Was anybody on that plane screened?
The problem here was he wasn’t screened when he flew into the US from a know hot spot. I would call testing as part of screening to be appropriate - that’s at the airport, in the international terminal at JFK, away from domestic travelers.
Doctors and nurses better man up. I am disgusted when I hear about doctors’ offices “closed until further notice.” Treat people. It’s what you went to school for. If you went because you wanted to make a lot of money, quit.
“Now theyre treating him like he brought the Black Death back from his spring break. “

So the corrupt Dr Fauci and his big pharma buds can make a killing (literally) on another contaminated vaccine.
Dr. Mikovits was set up and jailed when she blew the whistle on them.
He did bring back death or disability for someone
But hey he feels fine and the tapas bars were to die for
This whole idea of “spring break” is ridiculous. Where do students get money to travel the world anyway? Jackasses.
This story tells you the real problem with the capacity of our medical system in the face of this outbreak. You have people like this who are being forced to use limited medical resources even though they never would have needed this level of treatment in the past.
The NYC subway is still running today. This cant possibly be a serious viral outbreak if the worlds biggest viral transmission location hasnt been shut down.
There’s a pandemic. Everyone needs to be assumed contagious regardless any test result.
The test result could be wrong.
The testee may be infected by the tester.
Tests are more useful for research and for ultimately declaring the virus eradicated from humans.
Harping on testing at this point is Democrat propaganda.

Ok Sure thing Boss.
You get those doctors and nurses N 95 masks, gloves goggles and tyvek suits and it’s a deal.
Right now we are being asked to go into combat with an empty rifle no helmet and no boots. We didn’t go to school to be Kamikazis.
MY daily “social distancing” consists of 40 + sick people coughing and sneezing in my face. Our office is out of masks for patients. Running out of gloves. Worthless spit face shields that don’t protect eyes from droplets and no Bunny suits at all.
He is 21. Let’s see how his mother does.
“This guy was perfectly fine, and still is. Now theyre treating him like he brought the Black Death back from his spring break.’
Someone needs to repeat this ignorant statement while his grandparents are taking their rattling last breaths alone while waiting for a ventilator that will never show up.
They waited in an exam room for several hours before doctors decided to test Dominic. He was sent home as a presumed positive case. Test results Tuesday morning confirmed it.
Perhaps a little insight - a guess at what is going on here. I was in the West Shore Hospital (that's in Cumberland Co.) last Wednesday for an outpatient surgical procedure. I was chatting with a bunch of nurses and my surgeon about the ChiCom flu (they thought that name was quaint, hehe). In particular, I asked them about any protocols they had to follow. At that time, there were no cases in Cumberland County. They said if someone comes into the emergency room with symptoms that they would be separated. Sounds like that happened.
It is also typical to wait in an examining room for a couple of hours if you are not seriously ill/injured while more serious cases are being served. On a different trip to the same hospital a month ago, I was in the emergency room, not in serious condition, and had to wait a couple of hours to be seen. Sounds like if you say you have the ChiCom Flu you get an exam room right away so that you are not near any other patients.
As for the masks, I didn't have to wear one at the hospital on Wednesday morning, but starting last Wednesday afternoon I had to start wearing a mask 100% of the time during my dialysis treatment at the dialysis clinic. (Usually, it's only when being connected/disconnected to the machine.) All dialysis staff are in protective gear and have masks on 100% of the time too. It's uncomfortable, but they are not complaining. FYI, a lot of dialysis patients have catheters that go directly into the right atrium of the heart, and when the catheter is opened briefly while being connected to the dialysis machine they are highly susceptible to infection. I'm willing to bet that in places that have cases of the ChiCom Flu, everyone has at least a mask on.
Can you get your patients at least to wear a bandana, stop some of the droplet spread.
Dear Lord God, we need supplies.
...and where should he have stayed in the interval it takes to get the test result? In the airport?
